I am trying to figure out a solution to block pornography on mobile phonesspecifically iPhonesbut it'd be nice to figure out a solution beyond that.
iPhones don't have an ability, yet, to route through a DNS server. However, they can route through a VPN. I'm wondering if a solution could be to use something like OpenVPN and set that VPN to use OpenDNS. Would this work? If so, how, or what would I have to take into consideration that might backfire?
NOTE: I'm aware of a few browser apps that block adult sites. I am also aware that one can disable Safari altogether. However, it'd be nice to have a solution that preserves Safari for the ease of use on an iPhone. Furthermore, a generic VPN-DNS solution would obviously be a more generically mobile solution.
