How do I stop friends and others seeing who I share my comments with on facebook?

I sometimes post a comment or a picture and 'custom share' with various friends by naming them individually. My friends can then see by clicking the * shape who else can see the pic or post. My friends are only visible to me so how can I stop them seeing who else I have shared that post with as a whole list of names appears saying who can see that post?
