Non Slip pad on dashboard is melting and running down the dash, it' s like a glue - how can i remove this ?

The non-slip pad is melting in the sun and it's destroying the dash and it's literally like a glue running donw the dash with most of pad still on the dash which is very sticky to touch. And ideas on how i can completely remove it ?
