How big is a glass of water, when thinking about 8 glasses of water per day?

I'm aiming to drink my 8 glasses of water per day, but actually how big is a glass of water. The glasses I drink out of hold about 0.45 litres of liquid - is this considered as a 'glass of water' or more?
