How to write a song/get inspiration for songs?

Hi all =) i'm thinking of starting some kind of emo band with a few friends, and we're hoping to have me singing, 2 guitarists, a bass guitarist and a drummer. There's just one problem, i can't get ideas for songs anywhere. Anyone got any tips?

PS - I really like bands like Black Veil Brides, The Misfits, Alkaline Trio and My Chemical Romance, so if anyone knows how they get inspiration, feel free to add it =)
